Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to the Frequently Asked Questions page! Here you’ll find information on the most common questions.

What is your process?

Fairview’s kitchen design team is committed to delivering a seamless and stress-free renovation experience through personalized planning, expert design, and clear communication. Explore the comprehensive process we follow with each client to bring their vision to life.

Do you charge a design fee?

No, we do not charge a design fee. Our design services are included as part of our overall project process to ensure that every design reflects our clients’ goals and maintains the highest quality standards.

How much does a kitchen renovation cost?

The cost of a kitchen renovation depends on several factors, including the size of the space, chosen materials, design details, appliance selections, and the cabinet line—from budget-friendly options to fully custom designs. With a clear plan and vision, we can create a tailored renovation that perfectly aligns with your style and budget.

What is the lead time on cabinets, countertops?

We offer cabinet lines with quick turnaround options available in as little as 1–2 weeks. For more customized selections, lead times are typically 6–8 weeks, with fully custom options greater than 8 weeks. Countertops are installed within approximately 7–10 days following the template appointment.

Do you provide installation?

We do not provide installation services directly; however, we’re happy to recommend you with trusted, reputable installers who are the perfect fit for your project. Based on your location and the scope of work, we’ll recommend experienced professionals with a proven track record of quality and reliability — ensuring your installation is handled seamlessly from start to finish.

Where are the cabinets made and what is the warranty on the cabinets?

Most of our cabinets are proudly made in the USA and backed by a limited lifetime warranty.  The quick-ship and more budget-friendly options come with a manufacturer’s limited warranty of one or five years.

Are your cabinets made entirely of solid wood, or do you use other materials for stability?

Our cabinets have plywood boxes and solid hardwood dovetailed drawers with full-extension glides. Door materials vary — you can choose solid wood, MDF, or other options depending on your environment and preference. MDF is often selected to reduce movement or warping caused by changes in temperature and humidity.

Do you sell vanities?

Yes, we offer a wide range of vanities — from basic, ready-to-install styles to fully custom designs. Our selection includes various sizes, finishes, and countertop options to suit different spaces and budgets. For custom and semi-custom vanities, we can work with you to choose materials, hardware, and layouts that complement your overall design vision.

Will a Fairview designer come out to measure?

Yes, absolutely. Fairview offers a free in-home design consultation that includes taking precise measurements of your space. During this visit, one of our professional designers will come to your home to assess the area, take detailed field measurements, and discuss your goals, preferences, and functional needs.

How long does it take to install a kitchen?

Every kitchen installation is different.  Simpler projects may take just a couple of weeks, while more complex kitchens can take several months to complete. The timeline depends on various factors, including demolition, installation, electrical work, plumbing, and countertop installation.

How do the higher-end cabinet lines differ from the more basic options?

Higher-end cabinet lines offer a wider variety of styles, sizes, and configurations, along with more customization options. They feature an expanded selection of finishes, stains, and paint colors—ranging from standard tones to specialty and hand-applied looks—allowing for greater design flexibility. These lines also include more advanced cabinet and storage options, such as pull-out pantries, corner solutions, and built-in organizers.
